Giclee scanning is the process of creating a high resolution scan of original art and colorizing the scan to match the computers colors. When a giclee scan is reproduced or printed, the print is as close to a virtual match of the original art palette as possible. This process done by an artist for an artist in our print studio. The artist can then sign, number and sell their reproductions.
We use only pigment inks and archival papers for printing. The artist can choose to just have their art scanned & colorized, printed or both. And the artist will receive a disc with the high res scan/colorization so they are able to reproduce their artwork in the future. |
