Somers Custom Framing has partnered with The Somers Historical Society to make available historical images of the town of Somers. Our Historical Society has a great collection of old pictures and documents that make interesting decorative pieces for home or office. These images are not available anywhere else and a percentage of the sale goes to the Somers Historical Society.

These images can be printed any size and on any of our professional papers. We can even print on canvas or a photo pillow. The framed pictures of years gone by are great for decorating any office or retail space where your customers may have to wait for service. Who doesn't enjoy passing the time by looking at old pictures and seeing what specific spots in our town were like 50, 80, 100+ years ago. Or how about this for a unique gift. We can make a photo pillow with a picture of the Elephant Hotel taken in the late 1800's. That would make a great gift for any longtime resident who loves the town, or perhaps you know someone who is retiring to another state. That's sure to be a memento that will always remind them of their old town.

View the inventory of available images and let us know the size of the print you would like and on what media (paper, canvas, etc) you would like us to print it. Please keep in mind that these are historical photos that in some cases date back over 100 years. As such, many are spotted, cracked or have similar damage. Some of this damage can be cleaned up prior to printing if you like. Just let us know if you would like your image printed as is, or cleaned up.

Due to the size of their collection, the Somers Historical Society has obviously not released all of their images. If there is a specific image or location you would like a historical picture of but do not see it in this collection, please call. We will contact The Somers Historical Society to see if they have what you are looking for. They may very well have what want. Or, it is possible that a historical image of what you are looking does not exist. Either way, we will certainly find out and let you know.

Since opening our store in December of 2006, we have had the pleasure of working with The Somers Historical Society on several projects. They are a fantastic local organization that provides a great service to our town. The work of maintaining and making available the rich history of Somers to its residents is important. And its not easy work. The people at The Historical Society are hardworking, dedicated residents who do all they can to preserve the town's history and educate it's residents.
